About
Thirty-plus years of debate at the American University in Cairo.
Our story
Cairo International Model United Nations was founded at the American University in Cairo to cultivate diplomacy, public speaking and global leadership among young people. Across more than three decades it has grown into one of the most established Model UN conferences in the Middle East, drawing delegates from across the region and beyond.
Mission
We bring together globally minded students through diplomacy, dialogue and critical thinking. The conference exists so students can argue ideas properly, work with people who see the world differently, and take on questions that have no tidy answer, with professionalism and respect.
Vision
A conference where academic rigour meets creativity, and where delegates leave equipped to act on what they have learned in their own communities rather than only in the chamber.
